Now my reference board is (almost) complete, I have started to create a block out model for scale. There are a few things on this box out that I had to do the best I could by cross referencing multiple images, BUT I believe that the proportions seem to be pretty close.

I am trying something new for this project. Instead of just creating the asset then getting feedback at a later time I would like to document the whole process from reference gather to final render. My hopes in this process is to get feedback along the way as well as document my process for potential employers or clients to see how I work.

With all that said, I am starting the MP5 with wood furnishings project. This is an incredibly ambitious project considering my available time (at most 2 hours after work each day). But I am confident that with my support group and personal drive I can create my best work yet! Below is my reference board. I am still learning about weapons and how they tick so I understand that this board may need some tweaks and additions as I go. My first step in this process from here will to do a bit more research on how this gun works as well as the scale of the parts.
